The company F.lli Budai was founded in 1979 as a small carpentry specializing in custom residential furnishings. Within a few years, it expanded its production to include the design and installation of furniture for hotels and restaurants.
By the late 1980s, it saw an opportunity for further expansion through collaboration with Fincantieri, which in 1989 began producing next-generation cruise ships. Thanks to experience, passion, and forward-looking vision, this new venture proved successful: since 1990, when the first Crown Princess was launched, F.lli Budai has been involved in outfitting all cruise ships built in Italian shipyards.
Since the late 1990s, F.lli Budai has been investing in state-of-the-art technologies, regularly updating machinery and equipment with the constant aim of ensuring the highest standards in terms of safety for employees and quality for customers. Thanks to the implementation of new software and innovations in materials research, computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, sawing and edge banding machines have allowed for an increasing workload over the years, and today they represent a cornerstone in the company’s daily production.
The ongoing research and investments in technological progress have never compromised the company’s philosophy, which places humans at the center of all activities: the artisanal imprint remains essential and is a true source of pride for F.lli Budai.
